Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan shrugged off reports of being bankrupt to perform at the Stonebwoy’s Bhim concert alongside Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Bhim concert organized by Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy hosted several musicians both home and abroad on Friday at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair in Accra.
Asamoah Gyan, who sometimes combine music with his football career made a surprise appearance with Emmanuel Adebayor former Arsenal and Manchester striker at the concert and performed with Stonebwoy to the delight of the audience.
They performed Stonebwoy’s hit song, “Problem”.
Meanwhile, Asamoah Gyan has been in the news of being broke after two major British Newspapers, namely the Sun and the Mirror reported that the Ghanaian striker has gone bankrupt based on what the former Al Ain goal machine reportedly told an Accra High Court during the hearing of his marriage annulment case with his wife Gifty.
Gyan was once one of the world’s highest-paid footballers – but he is now reportedly broke and has not spoken to his family for four months, sparking concerns for his welfare after he was understood to have just £600 in his bank account and is unable to provide for his family.
Asamoah Gyan is currently in the country on Christmas holidays from Turkey where he is plying his trade with Kayserispor.
